LENORE MOORE CURTIN - is the mother of Wally Curtin who is a lawyer in Bay City. She is retired but volunteers at the hosptital. She is friend with Alice, Pat and Russ Matthews. She was married to Walter Curtin who killed Wayne Addison, let her take the wrap for it, and then died in a car accident.

LENORE'S STORY

She was the debutante daughter of Helen Moore when first introduced in Bay City. She grew up with the Matthews children. She always held a torch for Bill Matthews, the son of Liz. Liz was happy to have Lenore interested in Bill and pushed her to pursue him.

They became engaged when Bill passed his bar exam. However, Bill was in love with Missy Palmer so Lenore and he called off their wedding. She met Walter Curtin, a lawyer, when Missy was on trial for killing Danny Fargo. He admired Lenore’s spunk and sympathized with her being dumped by Bill. He had been dumped by someone himself. He pursued Lenore. He was insanely jealous of her feelings for Bill, however. At this time, Lenore shed her rich girl image and became a nurse. She became the Matthew sisters, Alice and Pat’s, closest friend.

Lenore and Walter had a lavish wedding at the Bay City Country Club. Shortly after, Bill was in a car accident and was put under Lenore’s care. Walter hated it. Eventually, he made Lenore leave her hospital job, because he wanted to be the bread winner. Lenore’s husband became obsessed with providing for her. He eventually bought two houses: one for them and one for her mother, Helen.

Lenore became pregnant. But, Walter was soon convinced by Liz Matthew’s that the baby could be the child of the dastardly Wayne Addison who began flirting with Lenore. When Lenore realized her husband was troubled by Wayne, she went to his apartment to talk and accidentally left her scarf. She returned get it and he had been murdered! Lenore was accused of the murder when Belle Clark saw her leave.

She was imprisoned by DA Tom Albini. Walter insisted on representing his wife. Lenore’s scarf was missing from the scene, because Walter had it in his safe. He had killed Wayne! Fortunately, Lenore was found innocent, so he didn’t have to reveal the scarf. Lenore had their son, Wally Curtin. Bernice, who worked for John Randolph, knew about Walter and found the envelope with the scarf. She sent it to Lenore.

On rainy night, she confronted Walter and he revealed everything. He was helping Wayne get money out of Steve Frame so he could provide her with more. Lenore was outraged with her husband, so he left the house to tell Steve the truth. He lost control of his car and died. Lenore ransacked the house and burned the scarf. She vowed that no one would ever know he was a murderer.

She began work for Steve at Frame Enterprises and formed a special friendship with Robert Delaney, who had just lost his wife and son in a car accident in Somerset. Bernice threatened to tell everyone about Walter, so Lenore told John Randolph. He was having an affair with Bernice. Pat Randolph thought it was Lenore and was devastated.

Robert started to become frustrated because Lenore wouldn’t commit to him. Lenore wanted to see her friend, Alice, back with Steve. She realized she loved Robert and they were married.

But, Robert soon became disturbed with her never being home and always involved with Steve and Alice’s problems or preoccupied with work at Frame Construction. Also, Steve asked Lenore to be a liason between his ex Rachel and himself for his visits with their son Jamie. Robert was not happy with this. He felt that Steve and Lenore could be more than friends.

Robert left Lenore and opened his own office. Lenore gave up her job and eventually went back to him. However, Carol Lamonte, who worked for Robert, seduced him and Lenore found out. She left Bay City and divorced him. She moved to Washington, DC with her young son, Wally.
