Dave Matthews - is the son of Russ and Veronique Matthews. He has a younger brother named Levi.

Dave came to town in October 2009 with a serious chip on his shoulder. He wanted to make sure his father Russ knew that he was in town to cause trouble. Years ago, Dave found Ivy Halloway, the young daughter of Marianne and Rick Halloway, at the Matthews pond drowned. Aunt Liz was confused and blamed him for her death. It wasn't his fault however, so he vowed he would get back at his family for believing he harmed Ivy. To embarrass his family in Bay City, Dave became a stripper at the Club Illusions. But it was there that he met a person that would change his life, Alex Cory. They became unlikely friends. Dave being the brash and insentive one and Alex being the opposite. Although Dave is a gruff and sometimes a bitter person, he has learned to be a friend and to love another person because of Alex. It was hard for him to realize and accept at first, but he soon acknowledge his deep love for Alex. Alex was bound to someone elsea at first, but Alex soon learned he cared for the broken man, Dave, who needed his love desperately. Dave is full of surprises and you never know what's going to come out of his mouth.
